Welcome to The Church House Inn at Stokeinteignhead.
Having stood in the quaint village of Stokeinteignhead for 800 years, The Church House Inn has an impressive history. It therefore attracts quite a crowd, and is subsequently always bustling with customers, with hungry hordes travelling from both near and far to sample the range of excellent cuisine.
The regular menu is accompanied by a frequently changing selection of specials. Fish features heavily and includes Dartmoor trout and whole plaice, in addition to delicious options such as the reputable steak and kidney suet pudding, and pan-fried liver and bacon matched with a rich red wine gravy and mash.
Dishes are constructed from a variety of regional elements to ensure everything is as fresh and delicious as can be and all food is expertly prepared by the pub’s dedicated and passionate chef. The drinks menu is equally enticing, from the hand-selected wine list to the three real ales, which include two regulars from Devon breweries.
The Church House Inn is expertly run by husband-and-wife team, Simon and Karen, who took ownership of the pub in February 2015. Thanks to their dedication to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and serving up excellent fare, the pub receives glowing recommendations from all who visit.
Dogs are welcome in the bar area of The Church House Inn; please keep your dog on a lead.
